We are excited to announce the 2026 Argonaut Expedition!
From June 21 to June 27, 2026, the Argonauts will return to the Houston area for an immersive, high-impact expedition that brings aeronautics, data analysis, coding, and design thinking to life. With access to world-class universities, NASA, and a thriving aeronautics industry, Houston provides the perfect launchpad for this unforgettable learning experience.
From the very first expedition planning meetings, students will engage in authentic data collection, using real tools and methodologies to guide their thinking and decision-making. Throughout the expedition, the Argonauts will interact directly with industry professionals, explore careers in aeronautics, and investigate the various areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that drive this dynamic field.
A defining feature of the 2026 Argonaut Expedition is its strong emphasis on mathematics and data collection. Students will collect, analyze, and interpret data to solve complex, real-world problems, building algebraic thinking and advanced data analysis skills. Participants will determine what data to capture, how to analyze it, and how to apply insights to drive effective solutions—highlighting the essential role of design thinking and problem-solving in successful system models.
Students will visit local facilities, participate in multiple hands-on, inquiry-driven experiences, and culminate their learning by presenting their findings to industry partners—with products designed to be shared with districts and school boards upon their return to school next year. Expedition Location Houston, Texas
Home to NASA, leading universities, and aeronautics industry innovators What Students Will Experience Real-world data collection, analysis, and interpretation Coding and design thinking applied to aeronautics challenges Hands-on activities and site visits Direct interaction with industry professionals

Even as students mature and gain greater independence, families remain pivotal in ensuring continued access to educational opportunities and in understanding the critical role regular attendance plays in academic success and future career readiness. Whether absences are excused or unexcused, all missed instructional time adds up and can impact student learning. Families can also serve as strong advocates for additional resources and support to help students stay engaged and on track, particularly when consistent in-person attendance presents challenges.

As winter weather brings snow and colder temperatures, please remind students to practice snow safety. Dress appropriately for the weather, including warm coats, hats, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Walk carefully on icy or snow-covered surfaces to prevent slips and falls, and avoid throwing snow or ice, as it can cause serious injuries. Staying aware of surroundings and following school safety guidelines helps keep everyone safe and healthy during snowy conditions. |
Hello Families, With the very cold weather we are experiencing, please make sure your students are dressed appropriately each day (coat, hat, gloves, etc.). If you are unsure whether your student should stay home, please feel free to call the nurse in your student’s building, we are happy to help.
Also, if your phone number has changed, please call the office or update it in Final Forms so we can update our records. In case of an emergency, it is very important that we are able to reach you.
Lastly, please remember to send an extra set of clothing to keep in your student’s locker or bookbag. Accidents, spills, and illness can happen, and having extra clothes available helps your student return to class quickly without missing valuable instructional time.
