Winner of five Tony Awards, The Drowsy Chaperone is a show -within-a-show as the Man in Chair brings his favorite show to life in his apartment, where Broadway star Janet Van de Graaff plans to give up the stage for love, but a host of comedic characters—including gangsters, a Latin lover, and the Drowsy Chaperone—try to stop the wedding, resulting in delightful mayhem and mistaken identities. March 6-7, 2026 at 7:00 pm and March 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm.

Transportation

Bus Safety Reminder

Student safety is our top priority at London City Schools. We ask all drivers to please slow down, stay alert, and follow all school bus safety laws.

Please remember:

-Slow down and be alert when you see a school bus.
-Never pass a bus when its red lights are flashing, and the stop arm is extended.
-Watch carefully for children who may be crossing the road.
-Allow extra time in the mornings and afternoons during peak bus hours.

Keeping our students safe is a shared responsibility. Thank you for doing your part.

Sincerely,
London City Schools Transportation Department

Help your child see school as their very first job. Make strong attendance a priority in your home. Talk regularly about why being in school every day matters and how each class builds important skills for the future. Excused and unexcused absences add up and can quickly impact your child’s learning. When students miss too much school, they can fall behind, making it harder to be ready for Kindergarten, read proficiently by third grade, succeed in middle school courses, and ultimately graduate from high school. Let’s partner together to ensure every student is present, engaged, and on the path to success.

Safety

For the safety of our students and the care of our campus, we kindly ask that families do not drive or park on the grass during arrival or dismissal. Recent wet weather has made the grounds especially soft, and vehicles are creating deep ruts and muddy areas that can become safety hazards and are difficult to repair.

Please use only the designated parking and drop-off areas to help keep our campus safe, accessible, and looking its best. We appreciate your cooperation and continued support in keeping our school community safe.

Nurse news

Hello Families,

We would like to remind all families to please review and update your contact information, especially your phone numbers. It is extremely important that we have working and current phone numbers on file for parents and emergency contacts.

If your child becomes ill, is injured, or there is a health concern during the school day, we must be able to reach you quickly. Incorrect or disconnected numbers can delay care and create unnecessary stress for students.

If any of your contact information has changed, please contact the school office as soon as possible to ensure our records are accurate.

Thank you for your prompt attention and for helping us keep your child safe and supported at school.

Thank you for your support,

Sports Recap

🏆 Red Raider Weekly Recap – Tournament Time Success! 🏆

Created by: Jacey Peters and Brylee Huff

It was a huge week for the Red Raiders, highlighted by tournament victories, state qualifications, and standout individual performances across multiple sports!

🏊 Swimming Success
At the OHSAA Central District tournament meet on February 20, Griffin Lotton earned a 2nd-place finish in the 500 freestyle. This outstanding performance has earned Griffin a trip back to the OHSAA State Championship Swim Meet on Thursday, February 26th. Congratulations Griffin!

🏀 Boys Basketball Stays Hot
The Red Raiders earned two impressive wins this week. On February 17, London traveled to face Thurgood Marshall and secured a strong 64-48 victory. The momentum continued on February 21 with a 63-45 home win over Graham. The Raiders are playing their best basketball at the right time of the season. The boys will begin the OHSAA sectional playoffs on Friday, 2/27, away at Bloom Carroll.

🏀 Girls Basketball Claims Sectional Title
The Lady Raiders dominated in the Sectional Tournament Final, defeating KIPP Columbus 73-3 to capture the sectional championship. Congratulations to the top scorers: Madilyn Adkins (13 points), Addison Lambert (13 points), and Aliyah Tyree (12 points). A tremendous team effort to advance in tournament play!

🎳 Bowling Sends Athletes to Districts
The Boys Bowling team competed at the Sectional Tournament, where Lane Cremeens qualified for the District Tournament — congratulations, Lane!

On the girls' side, the entire Girls Bowling team qualified for the District Tournament at sectionals. An outstanding accomplishment for the Lady Raiders as they continue postseason competition.

🏃 Indoor Track Qualifies for Big Stages
Competing in Ashland, Cameron Carn captured 1st place in the 800-meter run. The boys 4x400 relay team — Cameron Carn, Latrell Jackson, Thomas Herman, and Anthony Shoaf — qualified for both Indoor States and Indoor Nationals. An incredible achievement as they prepare for elite competition.

📣 Cheer Competes at State
The cheerleading squad represented London proudly at the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators State Cheer Competition. The girls competed extremely well at the state level — congratulations on a fantastic performance!

🤼 Wrestling Takes Runner-Up Finish
The wrestling team traveled to face Kenton Ridge and finished 2nd overall as a team. Congratulations to the individual placers:

Brody Howard – 3rd
Claytin Massie – 4th
Colin Lombardi – 5th
Damian Ward – 5th
Rakai Archbold – 5th
Taven Huff – 4th

A strong showing on the mat for the Raiders!
