Principal Message

Good afternoon! Winter activities are officially in full swing. This quarter's grades are crucial for eligibility into third quarter and earning credit that will be awarded through student transcripts. Students will continue taking the End of Course Tests, and there will be an exam prior to winter break. The End of Course tests are crucial for Ohio Graduation. Attendance will be critical for these. Students testing would have received an email, and a mailer was also sent home. Students that have not yet met the competency or proficiency score will be participating in state testing.

December 8th is a 2 hour early release for students.

Please continue to help reinforce positive values with your student as we progress through the year. We will continue to promote the values of the Raider Way.

As a reminder, when dropping off students in the morning. Please drop them off so they can exit onto the sidewalk and not have to cross all of the lanes. When dropping off students, all are encouraged to use the entire length of the fire lane when dropping off students. Students that are walking to school and crossing Elm need to use the signals to help with alert oncoming traffic. Thanks for your assistance with keeping students safe. Have a great week!

Go Red Raiders!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS: LCS PARTNERS WITH STAY IN THE GAME NETWORK TO HELP ADDRESS CHRONIC STUDENT ABSENCES

London City Schools encourages all families to adhere to the guidance provided by local health agencies regarding maintaining clean environments and managing students who may become ill. Healthcare professionals, especially pediatricians and nurses, are valuable allies in communicating with caregivers and schools about when it's appropriate for students to stay home and when they can safely return to school after an illness. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our School Nurse, Elizabeth Kennell, at elizabeth.kennell@london.k12.oh.us.

A quick update from Nurse:

Thank you for the wonderful response of getting your child's updated immunization records turned in. We will be reaching out again to parents whose students are still not compliant with Ohio Department of Health guidelines and requirements.  If you are a parent who has a future appointment, please contact me.
