Principal Message

Dear LHS Families,

We are in the last home stretch of the year. Please help encourage your student to finish strong. Senior exams begin this week while Underclassmen exams begin the following week. Grades earned from this quarter will impact eligibility, overall GPA, and class rank for the year. Students not passing classes this semester or last will be enrolled into our summer session for credit recovery.

Thank you to all the families who were able to be part of Signing Day. We enjoy celebrating the commitments of your students as they prepare for the next phase of their lives after graduation.

Spring sports playoffs are here. Please check social media for the most current status of games.

As a reminder, please review the printable version of your students report card. It has listed fees that are owed. Some of these fees have accumulated.

Additional information in this update includes, a link to Drive to Succeed (opportunity for financial assistance with driving.) As a reminder, check the printable version of your report card for school fee information. These can be paid at the school or through PaySchools.

Please refer to social media pages for the most up-to-date information on spring sports schedules and times due to any weather events.

We hope everyone has a great week!

Transportation

Bus Safety Reminder

This is a reminder of how important it is for students to ride their assigned bus, get off at the correct stop, and follow safe practices at bus stops.

When students do not follow their assigned transportation plan, it can create confusion and potential safety concerns. Please help us by reminding your child to wait in a safe location, stay back from the road, and follow driver directions at all times.

Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students safe.

Sincerely,
London City Schools Transportation Department

Being on time and present for the full school day makes a real difference. Every minute contributes to learning, building friendships, participating in activities, and accessing the support students need to thrive and succeed in the future. Regular attendance also helps develop strong time management habits and reinforces the importance of punctuality and commitment in all areas of life.

Safety

Safety is our priority! When driving near the school, please be mindful of school zone speed limits and reduce your speed during designated hours. Watch for crossing students, buses, and pedestrians. Your caution helps protect everyone and ensures a safer environment around the school. Let's work together to keep our school zones safe!

Nurse news

Hello Families,

Medication Pick-Up:
If your child has diabetic supplies, an EpiPen, or an inhaler in one of our school clinics, these items will be sent home with your child on the last day of school. All other medications must be picked up by an adult on the last day of school.

Medication Forms for Next School Year:
Please remember that a new doctor’s order is required each school year for any medication that will be administered at school.

Immunization Reminder for Incoming 7th & 12th Grade Students:
Students entering 7th or 12th grade must have the required immunizations on file before the start of the school year to avoid exclusion from school. If your child will not be receiving the required vaccines, an immunization exemption form must be completed and submitted.

Wishing all of our families a safe, healthy, and relaxing summer! I will be checking email periodically throughout the summer, so please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

In addition to calling and texting the state's free Safer Ohio School Tip Line (1-844-SAFEROH), recent changes now enable Ohioans to report school safety information using a new smartphone app and online web form to quickly report concerns. The tip line is staffed by crisis response professionals who are trained to help individuals contemplating self-harm.
