Summer School Begins
June 3
Dear High School Student Families,
Summer break has officially begun. It has been an exciting year, and we are very thankful for the growth and successes the students have demonstrated and been a part of this year. We want to wish the Class of 2024 the best of luck with all of their future endeavors. Thank you to all of the friends and family members who came to support this year's class.
Grades will be finalized this week. There are some areas on the report cards to be aware of. One area of the report card is the semester grade, this determines if credit is earned. It will also determine GPA, recognition, or if a student needs to attend Summer School. A second area is the fourth nine-week grade, which determines eligibility for athletics in the fall. Another area will be school fees. Some of these fees have accumulated since elementary school or include pay-to-participate. These can be paid online through PaySchools (there is a convenience fee) or checks can be sent to London High School. (These are printed on the grade cards that are mailed home and viewable by selecting "View Paper Report Card.") The amount that is posted is the accumulated amount from the last time fees have been paid. In June, there will be a notification shared with parents of students who participated in state testing. This notification will share how the student performed and the next steps for the student.
If you are looking for things for your student to do over the summer, there are several camps still listed below. Students can also be working on their community service hours. Clicking this link will get you information on some local opportunities and the Community Service form. There are other opportunities listed in this update as well. All students are required to have 10 hours of Community Service for graduation. Also to the Class of 2025, there are already scholarships that are available for you to apply to. These scholarships can be found by clicking here or seeing others listed below. Many colleges have virtual tours if you can't visit one in person.
We hope all have an incredible summer!
Go Red Raiders!

The tip line is staffed by crisis response professionals who are trained to help individuals contemplating self-harm.
