Principal Message

Good afternoon families,

In this week's update, we wanted to take an opportunity to celebrate our high Ohio State Test scores. Additional results and next steps for the state tests will be shared at the end of the month.

To the Class of 2026, it is time to prepare for senior year. Make sure you are on track, have your service hours complete, check to see what requirements may be for your future career, college or military option.

Go Red Raiders!

Wrapping Up the School Year: Important Reminders Before Summer

As we approach the final month of the school year, please take a moment to review these important updates and reminders:

Vaccination Requirements – State of Ohio

Incoming 7th Graders
All students entering 7th grade must have the following before the first day of school:

  • Tdap booster (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)

  • Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine

Incoming Seniors
Students entering 12th grade are required to receive their second dose of the meningococcal vaccine.

To avoid exclusion from school, these requirements must be completed before the 10th day of the new school year. Appointments can be made with your child’s pediatrician or the local Health Department.

Exemption forms are available for families who choose not to vaccinate and are also due by the 10th day of school.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Take time this month to talk openly and honestly with your child about their emotions and mental well-being. Active listening and showing empathy can go a long way. Together, we can reduce the stigma often associated with mental health and create a culture of support and understanding.

Medication Reminders for the 2025–2026 School Year

If your child will require medication during school hours next year, please note the following:

  • A new physician’s order is required for all medications each school year.

  • Do not send medications with your child, except for:

    • Inhalers

    • Diabetic supplies

    • EpiPens

  • All other medications must be brought to school by an adult.

Wishing all of our families a safe, healthy, and joyful summer!
We look forward to seeing you in August!
