Principal Message

Dear LHS Families,

We are in full swing with events and activities at London High School. Sophomores and Seniors met with Jostens this past week. There will be an in-person order day on September 4 with Jostens. Hyperlinks are within this update. Students should have brought items from the presentation home. Next week, Juniors and Seniors will be invited to participate in a program known as Think Fast. Think Fast is a game show type program to assist with sharing safety tips. There is an opportunity to win prizes. We hope all Juniors and Seniors are are available to participate in this program. Seniors also have the opportunity to paint their parking spots again this year. Paint day will be September 6. Seniors need to have their plans shared by September 3. We are almost to the midpoint of the quarter. Interims will be available September 12.

If you are a parent drop-off, please help the flow of the line by either dropping students off by the curb or at the circle by the tennis courts.

If you haven't done so, please take a few moments to log into FinalForms and complete or update your student’s information. This process ensures we have accurate emergency contacts, medical details, and activity participation forms on file for the year. We also ask that you take a few minutes to complete our 2025–2026 Planning Survey, which helps us better understand how we can support your student and family throughout the year. Your input is valued and important to our continuous improvement.

Here’s to a great week!

Welcome Back from the Transportation Department!

Dear London Families,

Welcome to a brand new school year! The Transportation Department is excited to see our students back on board as we begin another safe and successful year of learning.

Here are a few important reminders to help ensure a smooth ride for everyone:

Be Ready – Please have your child at the bus stop 5 minutes early and ready to go.
Be Safe – Remind students to stay back from the curb, wait for the bus to stop completely, and always follow the driver’s instructions including crossing safely.
Know Your Stop – Make sure your child knows their bus number and stop location.
Drive Carefully – Watch for stopped buses and flashing red lights—students may be crossing!

Our drivers and staff are committed to getting students to and from school safely every day. If you have any questions or need assistance with transportation, we’re here to help!

Sincerely,
London City Schools Transportation Department

Stay In the Game

London City Schools values strong attendance. We miss your students when they are not in school because, like you, we want them to thrive and succeed. Let's work together to ensure they "Stay in the game" for their success!

Safety

Parents, as we focus on keeping our school zones safe, here are a few key talking points to go over with your child:

- Remind your child to always be aware of vehicles and obey speed limits in school zones, especially during busy arrival and dismissal times.
- Talk about the importance of stopping for school buses when they are picking up or dropping off students.
- Make sure your child knows to stay alert for kids walking or biking near crosswalks, and to be extra cautious in parking lots.
- If you’re driving, remember to avoid double parking or blocking pedestrian areas to ensure safety for everyone.

By reviewing these tips, we can work together to keep our school zones safe and smooth!
